Do staff 2s get laid off? Or only senior and above ?

The severance package at Meta for laid off employees almost makes it nice to be laid off depending on what your personal situation is….. personally wouldn’t mind getting 4+ months of full pay to reset and think about what’s next 😬

Thoughts on Veteran status and the ongoing corporate layoffs?

The Current scenario of high attrition rates and job shift by taking multiple offers has been caused by a resource crunch in the market. However I have a feeling that this particular scenario of shifting jobs by way of multiple offers and getting high salary is creating a bubble in the market which will burst causing a ripple effect of lay offs due to cost saving efforts by organisations in the near future. In a scenario like this how can one change the job by avoiding the bubble?

I think I have work trauma not sure how it’s clouding my ability to make decisions. I’ve had unstable work after being laid off from a company 3 years ago. I thought I worked out a plan to get to a stable place but my job is proving to be unstable yet again. I secured a FT role at another company but because it’s a lot less money I’m unsure because I feel very cynical about companies in general. Just over 6 years in B4 financial services tax in PNW area. Mostly doing compliance work pumping out K1s and returns. Just got an industry offer at 155k 15% bonus and 100k equity (4year vesting). Fully remote position with occasional travel. Should I accept? I know it's a long shot but deep down I always had an ambition to pursue PA to see if I can make a partner.
