Do the CISA questions from just the DB appear on the actual exam? If not, do you still learn enough by reading the questions and answers to pass?

only studied questions and explanations for a whole week and killed it. you'll be alright.

like

I took it in October, 18 whatever version that was.

Not exact but very close at least they were a few years back. Studying the questions alone is enough.

Studying the db is enough because it explains why the wrong answers are wrong and the right answers are right so when you see a similar question (probably an inverse question from the db, with a "not" included), you understand what the question is really asking.

I didn’t look at any DB stuff. I took a boot camp course and then leafed through the ISACA manual. Passed with only 6mo of experience and probably a week of actual studying outside of the course I took. The questions arnt hard, you just have to read them very very carefully. I took 2 hours to go through the test, went to the bathroom for a breather, and then went through every single question again.

Is CPA worth it if I only work in industry accounting? I have my bachelors and masters in acctg, finished 2 years ago. I have 4.5 years experience in industry acctg, all at the same company. This company doesn’t have many CPA’s. But I’m worried if I try to leave this company in the future, I’ll get overlooked without the CPA. What do you think of someone getting CPA license but no experience in public acc? (I did a 6 mo audit intern in college, but that’s it) or maybe a CMA would be better 4 me?

Hello everyone, first post ever and I have a question for you. I left my previous job for a startup. I really enjoy what I do, but the lack of international perspective makes me want to look for something else as my goal has always been to work in many different countries.

It’s been almost a year and I am wondering if leaving a company after a year would eventually be perceived as a deal breaker for recruiters. I know it will mostly depends on my ability to sell myself.

What do you think?

I want to further develop my BI and DE skills. Currently exploring paths of AWS certs with some others mixed in, does this seem like a good strategy:
AWS CCP>Tableau DS> ICAgile (ICP)> AWS SAA>AWS DA > PMI CAPM > and then maybe tableau data analyst or Powerbi.

Hi there,

I have worked in the adtech industry for the better part of 7 years, I am looking to make a transition into the fintech space and will be presenting a case study to some ream members and not quite sure what to expect. Any generic advice or words of wisdom for someone looking to make a change? 😬

Recruitment or solutions engineering what would you say is a better career? I have experience in both fields and enjoy them both as well but I cant decide what I want to continue with. I 'm worried about job hopping so want to make an informed decision. For more context, I'm motivated by earning potential and being able to grow into leadership role. Hope this network can help.
