Yes. My motto is dress for success and something about dressing up every day makes me feel really good about myself when I walk out the front door.
Don’t buy suitS before you get a job and figure out the firm culture. There’s absolutely no need to buy suits unless and until you need them
Business casual. Dress shirt + slacks/chinos. No tie. Jacket for meetings where needed.
Can accessorize with Patagonia or a Sweater from time to time.
Shoes are oxfords or deal sleds. Typically Ferragamo or Allen Edmunds.
Yes, can say that is the standard that I see. Maybe not exactly suit, tie, whole nine, but definitely dress shirt and slacks. From there it can depend on whether you have something important. Took me a long time to build up the wardrobe so if you don’t have anything it’s a slow process at first.
Thanks! I’ll definitely need to build mine back up.
Buy 5 quality shirts and 3 pants and you won’t ever have to spend energy on this topic again
Full suit and tie.
Everyday but can vary depending on the group you’re in. I know the tech bankers are more casual for instance
