Do you have a target age for retirement? If so, what steps are you taking to make it happen? For me, I’m aiming to retire by 55 (or even earlier if I can make it work!) I’ve been focusing on maxing out my retirement savings, making smarter investments, and cutting back on unnecessary spending. I’ve also started exploring side hustles and passive income ideas, like renting out part of my house as an Airbnb. It’s definitely a work in progress and would like to hear your perspectives.

So my fiancée and I are relatively late in terms of finally landing well paying jobs and being able to save money instead of living paycheck to paycheck. We’re both 36 and currently rent a 2 bedroom in NY and have a combined savings of $35,000 which she wants to use as a down payment on a condo. I kinda just wanna continue saving while renting. I also literally just started contributing to my 401K so I’m also late in the game for that too.

How much is “market” comp for a 5th year, general civil lit, AmLaw 200 defense firm with usual benefits (health, dental, 401k match up to 6%). I’m LA based. TIA

Actually, I gave Interview for BackEnd Developer @ Itilite. I was selected in the interview process (2 Tech DSA Based + HR) and got a mail stating that our interview panel is really impressed with your domain related expertise in order to proceed with offer negotiation please submit your documents. Now after 2-3 days of document submission, they came up by saying they cant move forward with my candidature.

I am still amazed how can they do this after asking my documents.
