Hi all, recently in touch by Spotify recruiter for a Sec Engineer position for remote EU and was told that range was 60-80 out of base salary and equity. Had 2 years of security experience out of my 4 years. Was also told that there is no bonus scheme or no sign in bonus 😕 Not sure how I feel about this tbh.
What do you think?

Pretty frequently. I feel like this is the real value to WFH—down time can be real down time, not sit and wait for work time.
I used to leave the office using the emergency stairs and drive off the parking lot like I was stealing my own car so no one saw me leaving at 3 PM

At least once a month.

Most Mondays are half days for this reason.
Friday for me
I thought we all did this

Hell, I’ve done this when in the office.
Yes

And we wonder why partners want everyone back in the office 😂
Wait when else are you supposed to make doctors appointments and run errands? Everything is open 9 to 5 so not sure how any such personal maintenance would get done if not during the work day.
Yes, of course. I structure my life so I am consistently available as needed from about 8:30 am to midnight during the week. For me to keep all that time open, I have take breaks/handle things when I can and know I am not likely to be bothered.

BigLaw is hard. By Friday half my brain works and the other half is burned out from the week. Absolutely yes to taking half days off.

Yep. Especially when I’m slow-ish.
A lot of times I use the down time to run errands or do chores though so I can focus on work more the rest of the week.
It’s prevalent and we know you’re doing it. No one feels “really unwell” so frequently on a Friday or a Monday (or when shits hits the fan) only to come back the next day. I’m all for it except make sure you are not screwing someone else over it
I don’t think OP described what you are describing. No ones talking about skipping deadlines or disappearing when stuff is happening. Just rearranging hours…still meeting deadlines though.
But the partners would benefit so much more from you sitting in the office during this time pretending to work!

I like to be very productive in the morning (I work in the west coast on NY time so I start working around 7:30am PT). By the time it is 2pm PT on Mondays, I sometimes just go watch TV and handle non-urgent emails after that time on Tuesday lol.

I don’t. How do you do this when you are slammed with deadlines and emails that need responding to?
Mentor
I really struggle with doing that. It’s the fear of not meeting deadlines that really gets to me.

Yes. This is normal.

I take a half day at least once a week. Gonna get more frequent with ski season coming up

I’m getting tattooed for 7 hours on Wednesday. Not even taking PTO.

Working on my back piece. It’s a Kali romantic/Japanese style full back.
This is me today. I had a busy week last week and worked yesterday and feel tired / burned out. I’ll probably bill 5 hours today.
You’re my mirror. All three sentences are my life.
I frequently take off Friday and make up for it on Saturday
