I have a client where the two times I talked to her on the phone she basically told me I’m the worst attorney she has worked with. I told the partner about the difficulties that I am having with this client and the partner said she has not complained about me to him (at least yet). But I also told him if the case doesn’t settle (early stage settlement attempt), I want off this case. It’s a two way street for me and respect.

Lateraled recently to CA and can I just say that studying for the bar and working full time is god awful. Shout out to the folks out there (including moms/caretakers in general) that work two jobs, study/work part time, or have similar arrangements. Carrying on this way ain’t for the weak!
