Bain & Company Is there a cool down at Bain even if you don’t make it past the resume screen? Applied a couple months ago on a whim (and a referral from a friend) having no experience with anything business/consulting related as a lateral (only had experience in research prior). Since then have had 2 months at a t2 firm plus some biz dev for a startup. I’m aiming to reapply at 6 months. For context graduated from a t10 school and thought I wanted to go to med school for a little bit lol. Bain & Company

Tableau/powerBi: absolutely. PowerBI is more stable, but I don’t like it as much. I like my teams to have the ability to do basic visualization and design for dashboards.

Just out of curiosity, what do you qualify as analytical work? I always associate it with just doing excel but I’ve done very minimal work in excel (if at all) so I feel I haven’t even gotten the analytical exposure unless there are other responsibilities that could count as analytical?
Can’t hurt particularly at your level
I haven’t gotten the practical experience on projects (though have asked for this kind of work) so it seems hard to prove my “knowledge” of these things in interviews if I just learn it through online trainings so is it really worth the time to take to learn?
