I'm also concerned about the suite of software automatically installed on devices where I install outlook and Teams. I'm not afraid of snooping on activity as much as I am concerned that my personal device will be used to track office attendance and measure productivity somehow
BYOD. At a previous job ages ago I could expense my phone bill.
I think that's super old school. Work and life are blended. I don't personally think employers should pay for our phones or the service. Especially now that we get to work from home and our hours are so flexible. And I'm usually on the employee side...always want what's best for them...but on this issue...we are using our phones constantly...just find your own plan and pay for it. Negotiate an extra 1k in your next position if it makes you feel better. IMO
Agreed I will gladly take this trade off to work from phone and I don't see it as a money issue, just an annoyance when calls come in at night and on weekends.

It's a lot easier to leave your work phone charging while you go on a walk or vacation without getting sucked into outlook or teams on your personal device
Work provided a device.
Well depends. Some companies do some don’t
