For a good doctor, it is acheivable to start a clinic and then turn it into a hospital.
For a s/w engineer, it is tough to create own startup and make it profitable.
For average doc or engineers, yes Engineers get good salaries.

How is that even a question. Once the doctor is a bit established, he earns unlimited money. I know few people earns 4-5 lkh tax free income minimum just by sitting in private chambers. Apart from that they have salary from hospital, some give guest lectures in colleges, some do surgeries,etc and their income has no bounds
Doctors.
Atleast they have job security and there's nothing like when they turn 58 they are retired.

Some Experienced engineers may earn more than doctors. Usually doctors earn more.
I would say on a average IT engineers earn more than doctors.
For a doctor it is more important to earn patients trust. Specialist surgeons earn very well
I see many people here exaggerating doctors income and downgrading skilled software engineers potential to earn money. Doctors start earning good money only after 40 and only in their own clinical setup and or in large private hospitals. Just calculate the no of such doctors in your city / town and compare this with Good Engineers/Businessman in the city, you won't be disappointed. Remote jobs trends have given a huge leap to software engineers which means they can get paid in dollars remotely in a even a small company. Starting payments for Skilled Software Developers is +150K USD which converts to approx 10 Lakh/month. Skilled software engineers are making this money 10 years before in career compared to a Doctor. I agree that Doctors have very high earning potentials and they can earn until the age they want. But sometimes you need something before and for your self. All rest to Doctors but I had to bring in correct picture.
It depends in how much that doctor is practicing...like for example my friend is a Senior Cardiac Surgeon in Apollo Calcutta and he earns like 5.8 lacs per month and I am currently a General Surgeon in government sector and get paid around 1.9 to 2 lac per month but the difference is that he cannot practice outside due to strict private sector rules ...but meanwhile I can ...so let us say I get 10 patients in chamber daily and they pay rupees 1000 each so in a day I can earn ten thousand rupees thus around 60 thousand a week and 2.4L a month from just chamber now apart from chambers I perform around 12 surgeries outside hospital where I get paid a minimumm 50 thousand per surgery so in total combined approx a normal govt. Surgeon can earn around 10 lacs easily although it differs from time to time and after deducing tax let us say 8 lacs ...so it depends how much work r u doing and how much patients r u attracting and this stage can only be achieved after 10 years to 15 years of experience.....meanwhile there r many tech companies who pays far more higher than us so it is difficult to say who earns more ...but in conclusion we doctors do have an edge in the field of respect ....all doctors should always remember money is not the final job our main job is to save lives ....so it depends on region and experience...ig it helped .. thank u 💓
