Hi Fishes, I cleared technical and MCQ round at Accenture. And got a mail stating i have been selected for HR round. Later the same day a hr called and asked me to upload all documents and asked my expected CTC and stuff. Earlier in portal it was showing interviewing , now it shows review or pending and has a message ' we regret to inform that you experience does not align with req, we will contact if anything comes up' , what does this mean. How can they put something like this?
Accenture

100k in Chicago
Source: I’ve lived in DC my entire career and have no idea
Chicago is actually hella affordable
I lived in Chicago for 2 yrs. Loved it. I was comfortable making 70s and 80s and was able to save a decent amount too. Honestly Chicago is a much better city than ATL imo. Spent a lot of time in both. Endless food options in Chicago, the lakefront, affordable cost of living. Main downside is weather in the winter. Another thing to think about with this comparison is that you need a car in ATL and definitely don’t need one in Chicago. Just my opinion. Good luck with the decision!
Currently living in Chicago making ~$100,000. Keep in mind I have no car payments, only student loans. I can afford to live in a great neighborhood and enjoy the city while also putting money away each paycheck. I can answer any specific questions about how far your money can go!
What neighborhood?
Chicago for sure. Chicago is super affordable and you can do whatever you want with 100k easily
Chicago if your single np. When you get married and go to the burbs that’s when it gets way more expensive then Atlanta. (Done both)
I mean Atl isn’t exactly super cheap either. Might have more space but rents not free.
In a good part of town? $1500.
OTP maybe like $1100 if you’re lucky. There’s cheaper options but then you probably break even on gas during commute.
Hi fellow Data Scientist. I’d do100k Chicago then transfer in 2 years for a experienced hire role and make 150k. Chicago would be easier to roll up the high comp then ATL.
