Just had a compensation discussion with my manager. I work at a big fortune 50 company. I met expectations and got back my compensation review receiving a 3% merit increase. My boss knows I’m disappointed, and I asked to setup a follow up convo. We talked about inflation being 7.5% and I’m losing purchase power. Other details: Started last Jan 2021 Switching to a new role in a few weeks (manager said to talk to my new manager, LOL) But we only have compensation adjustments once per year

I’ve recently received an offer letter 3 months early of my contract term of 6 months from the company that I’m contracting for. I was told that at my 6 month mark that if the company offer me a full time position that I would get a salary increase. However in the offer letter, I have no salary increase and was told by my supervisor that I would have more of a workload. Also my job title would be an Accounting Assistant vs Staff Accountant. I like the company but want to compensated accordingly.

I’m staffed on a case going to trial in a few weeks, and another associate is also on the case. We’re both mid levels. One of the partners told me the other associate’s work was bad, so for efficiency he wants me to review and edit all of the other associate’s work product (including draft motions) and bring it up to standard before the partners see it. How is this possible? I can’t see myself having time to do any assignments of my own if I have to review the all of other associate’s work.

Does this count as a solid EC? Ran a instagram artist community acc and built 150K+ following from ground up, and generated ~100K (local currency) in sales. Ran it for 2y and realised its not sustainable, but leveraged that exp to do digital marketing for a friends art startup and launched a product which sold out fully within the first week. Bg: My main experience is not marketing and is consulting. I just like working with people who are artists.
