Hi fishes,
Any guess how many people are laid off from Publicis sapient in past few days? Really scared for my future as I'm also under probation period and deeply regret for my choice of joining this firm...I don't understand why were they recruiting peeps when they were short of projects. Publicis Sapient

This may seem like shitty advice, but just be honest. It's okay to ask for help.

Tell them what you said here.
We are all super aware this is happening on a broader basis. And super worried about our people because we can’t hire to replace anyone right now.... so if someone goes down for the count.... more work for everyone.... more burnouts.... bad things happen.
I think it’s very appropriate to ask for help. I would come with a list of things on your plate and get them to help prioritize with you/think about what might shift to someone else. Have a point of view on this. You are more likely to get empathy and action this way.

It’s just a matter of time. The workload hasn’t changed, just less people doing it.
People who just got laid off:
No they did not. But their agency laid other people off due to “these uncertain times.” The workload, however, was about the same. I doubt OP working 2-3 people’s job is an unintended consequence of the finance bros who had people lose their jobs as a quick way to cut spending this quarter.
Don't ask for help, instead ask for advice on how to solve it yourself. This shows that you're looking to grow and learn.
If you ask me for help, I'm just going to teach you how to solve those problems yourself anyway, so you look better coming to the conversation understanding that.
