As an ADC applying this summer for 2022 start, I haven’t gotten a chance to connect with any L.E.K. Consulting members and I really want to get to know the company better before moving on with my application. Any L.E.K. Consulting fish out there willing to spare a few minutes to chat about their work, the company, the culture etc? Thanks!

Same thing goes over at GT. No career path, no chance to advance, no bonuses because we are eligible for OT but aren’t allowed OT, no structure, basically forgotten about. I guess it’s an industry thing.
I've only just recently joined Big 4 in the last year and it works very differently to other areas I've worked in (legal, tech). In my last role I felt like an integral part of the company and had options for career growth and got great opportunities in all different areas of the company. Here it's bottom of the ladder and you're not really treated as much more than an administrator and don't get any learning experience outside the scope of your role.
I'll be getting a year or two on the resume and then either leaving or asking my team leader to help me get into another role within the company that isn't an EA.
Well, look how they implemented the EA layoffs and they exposed their lies during the calls. Who is going to trust them once they admitted they planned it for 5 years and created ASK to do it. It was extremely messy, too. In general, there is extra pressure and double standards on this who actually work and the slackers on any level keep getting away with it. It’s sickening. They need to clean house in management. Bet they are quiet because the effed up and are getting heat behind the scenes. Besides, what will she have to say now? No one will believe anything. They might as well get rid of them and have us join under the same umbrella instead of this butler/maid/servant attitude. ION messed everything up. Things were better before ION.
I don’t understand why, during all of the chaos of the last few months, she has not been heard from? She doesn’t attend any EA meetings, no town hall, only communication we get are from the people under her, and she is asking us for success stories with the integration of ASK.
My role has now been reduced to making reservations, and expense reports, so basically a front office secretary. Never mind all the experience I have with KPMG, my role has been diminished.
Wow I'm really sorry to hear this. To think this still happens today. But there are people out there that want to make it ahead so this is how some of them do it. By cutting the bottom line to make the company look good.
Wow yes 100%
KPMG folks, so sorry you're going through this. This Vicki person is the living embodiment of all that's wrong with the business world. I bet if someone did an efficiency study on her and most of the senior leadership team, they would be kissing their jobs good bye. My question, does she have an on-site admin, possibly under the guise of a different title?
Yes, I believe there are 4-6 others.

There has never been value placed on the EAs at KPMG.
That job is total bait and switch from your interview.
Whomever wrote this about Vickie and Bob is spot on. Also very well written. It is my fear that EAs are on the way out the door. I am a single parent with a lot of years left in the work force so I’m trying to move on.
What is the matter with the EA position and who is Vickie A?
Exact same thing has been happening at PwC for years.
This is so sad to hear. I think we are somewhat valued, and our leadership tries to be ‘transparent.’ It is the same, though, that there is not a path or really any way for promotion - unless a manager leaves - but many of us wouldn’t be ready/prepared for it.
D says they support movement within the firm, and they do, but you have to find it (/likely know someone), and it will not be administrative related.
Jesus, guys this sounds terrible, and this Vicki person sounds....well I’ll keep it professional. So sorry you’re in this situation and hope you can find something else. What has HR’s response to this been? I don’t have high hopes based on these descriptions but curious if anyone has spoken to them about it?
I don’t understand why Administrators aren’t looking out for their EA’s. I like my job and bring a lot of value to those teams I support, I am a driving force with my team. To bad we EAs don’t get the respect we deserve.
