^🤔 sounds made up🤔^
^ Wrong, I had a bonus in Dec two years in a row.
And by earlier you mean canceled 6 weeks ago.
You had a bonus in Dec. That might have been practice specific. There hasn't been a firmwide holiday bonus. If you got yours taken away you might wanna talk to your partner.
Nah. I always laugh at the stupidity of putting a large down payment on a pool when you don't have the money...
Yeah. Call with Japan as it'll be Monday for them. :( and not sure if it's still called a spot award or whatever it's called now but at least got a little something extra. Going to be a long week though.
PwC hasn't had a holiday bonus in years. You can't take away what didn't exist.
PwC did away with contribution awards. No associate will be getting a bonus in December . Next bonus will be Sept 2017.
^^ I'm assuming OP is talking about the contribution awards that were distributed in December and were discontinued firmwide earlier this year
Something something something, OP awards
EY had a point, at least PwC didn't have nation wide layoffs! #vision2020
^PwC5 you have conference calls on Christmas morning?
OP is referring to the contribution awards that were eliminated
I'm in tax and we've been getting performance bonuses sept 30th? So It's pretty much holiday bonus just comes 3 months early
Got a spot award two years in a row. Yes. Downside is I'll be pulling a 60 hour work week during holiday shutdown starting with conference calls tomorrow morning.
Tax didnt do contribution awards it was assurance (and maybe advisory) only. Now the entire firm is on the one time per year performance bonus, which is uniform with the other firms it sounds like
I've never heard of a spot reward. I'm relatively new so must be a thing of the past
In the past, PwC assurance, possibly advisory, would give a contribution award not based on tiering/performance, but on contribution to your team/market (tons of travel, above and beyond tasks, high hours over standard). This was the only bonus for associates, most first years didn't get anything. Seniors got performance bonus (paid September based on tiering) and contribution award. Contr Awards were paid out 12/31 and 4/30.
Granted, I'm in tax so I never got these- but like a prior poster said, at least we're not undergoing layoffs.
So can you get a bonus if you are on tax and assurance? I thought only Advisory got bonuses?
