Honestly at this point, I think coasting isn’t a terrible thing. But really does depend on what you want and what you feel like the future holds. I’m not really sure where I would go at this point, always try to keep my ears and eyes open though. I don’t have a solid future plan like I used to though.
I agree I think coasting isn't bad with one caveat -- they better be paying you enough.

It’s totally normal to feel that way sometimes. You’ve had a solid run, but it sounds like you’re ready for something new. Maybe it’s time to explore a different specialty, upskill, or even look into leadership roles.
Coasting for 25 years isn’t your only option—you still have time to shake things up! That said, coasting doesn't sound half bad considering the market out there.
If you are a director at a relatively young age, count your blessings. I'm stuck on the frontline with an MSN/MBA and feel like I can't bridge the gap into leadership.
