I’m in the same boat. I have been told its nearly impossible to get a job right now unless you network. Each job posting gets anywhere from 100-1000 applicants. 50% qualified so you have to find a way to standout. I’ve heard thats through referral or networking but, people are burnt out so I’m struggling to get the networking and referrals from insiders as well. Hang in there!
There was a location suggestion. I’m in Dallas,TX.
Have you considered contract work opportunities? Sometimes a contract role will not only keep you busy and bills paid, but can lead to new opportunities, new skillset or new perspectives.
^I second this, they’re tough to find but yes I’m open to
Happy to provide a referral for anything at Wells Fargo
I’m in the same boat. I have 10+ years in banking, finance, accounting realm and can’t find a job. Would love a referral from you
It’s wild out there with the layoffs, I was in the same position. I had my resume redone, but it was scoring very low on the ATS and after months of no interviews I started using jobscan.com. I started using indeed over LinkedIn and also reaching out to hr after applying (if through LinkedIn). It seems a lot of tenured and stable candidates are getting the jobs compared to a junior and high performing candidate from a banking/investment background.
It would be helpful if those who are looking for a job to pay where you live.
Thank you.
I agree that a contract role could lead to a full-time opportunity and additional skills.
