Job-Hunting reach-out to VC from previous fundraising effort for own startup
I have e-mail archive from 1y ago of my reach-out to 65 VCs in London: we had video calls, they might remember me still, who knows.
I want to send a reply/forward message to the same e-mail thread from abc@gmail.com, saying that I am looking for roles within their VC firm. Is that a good idea?
Or shall I just start new email thread and mention how I know them?

I just didn’t put much on our registry… maybe 20 things at most. We had a lot of the typical stuff already. I added random things like a safe and a ladder and some other odd and ends like a frying pan and mixing bowls. The stuff on the registry was bought and other people just gave cash.

I would list some items and ask for gift cards. People will get you stuff anyway. If you have a registry you will at least get stuff you want. You can we are saving for a downpayment on a house, any contribution are appreciated. I would not do the Fund my xyz that wedding site registries offer. They all take a percentage of the gift as a processing fee. If you wanted an electronic mechanism, I would set up a paypal or Venmo account ( you will need a second email and phone number....get a google number and email like sallyandjoehomefund@gmail.com)

Yes I guess they did. So it won’t negatively impact the gifts OP gets.
Over the moon registry lets you cash out any gift to your PayPal account. Worked great for us.

Do the “honeymoon fund” or “house fund” on your registry. The money just goes into your bank account and you can use it for wherever you want.
