Does anyone know of any good job options in FL for attorneys who are not licensed in FL? I’m wanting to move back to be closer to my family but I really do not want to take the bar again. I’m currently licensed in MO and doing products liability and trucking litigation through the Midwest. I’ve applied for some in house roles but I’ve only got three years of practice so I’m not sure I’m qualified. Is it possible to find something or will I need to suck it up and take the bar again?

Any one considered doing part time Consulting engagements via Services like MBO, Catalent GLG etc. Seems like a good way to stay in the game earn some extra income but do it on an Ad hock basis.

Anyone work for FDA and leave for a firm? Any thoughts or advice (pros/cons)?

I’m currently at a studio that has been good to me. They took a chance and allowed me to change career paths. They gave me numerous opportunities that lead me to now, being the head of a department. The big guys at the top has expressed they could see me as the guy to run the company one day but it’s all talk and possibilities right now. I’ll have to wait for now. On the other hand, I have an offer in hand from a much bigger company to be part of their business development. Any advice?

Where can you apply for a law license without taking an examen when you are only barred in Florida?

Salary check: south Florida mid-size third party ID firm, 4th year, no formal billable requirement but informal expectation of about1,900 to 2,000 and large volume of cases. Pay $110k annual and year end bonuses have been 10k last two years. Circumstances recently changed and considering asking for a raise.
