If it's anything like Omnicom, you won't get any bump unless it's a promotion. Lateral move = lateral salary.
Plus you have to let your boss and (or?) your HR know that you're applying to another agency. It has to be on the up-and-up. But maybe Publicis is different.
I've switched between Publicis agencies. You can apply for any job through Fluid talent(I think that's the name but it's been a while) and they'll need to get approval from your manager before you can interview. So I'd suggest telling them you're applying beforehand. But beyond that it's mostly the same process as if you were an external candidate. Salary bump would depend on the job and whether it's a move up for you.
^ yup it's fluid talent. Publicis is the best from switching agencies imo. When I tried HR told me if I saw a position I liked to reach directly out to recruiters at these places and ask for an exploratory conversation about the role. This way I didn't have to my current team about interviewing until I actually had an in person.
I heard from our HR that you have to go to HR about it and make a case for why that office should take you on, like why they need you and not somebody else (especially in international cases). Not sure how to make the argument that you're so great you should leave for another office, especially when you don't even know the needs of that office... 🤷🏻♀️
I don't know if it's a "case." You can just articulate to HR that you want to apply for the job. They do that because Publicis agencies are not supposed to poach from each other. I've even heard of people having to take a cut sometimes to do it.
Where or how do you access this 'Fluid Talent'?
Why would you get a salary bump if you're effectively inconveniencing your own agency to move elsewhere? If it's the case that you want a higher job title at the other agency, I'm guessing your current agency doesn't see you as being appropriate for a higher title (or they would have promoted you, unless there's no room for movement) and that feedback will be given to the new agency...?
I wanted to say "liquid talent" but yeah that one
If you want a raise then it has to be blessed by Arthur like any other hire. But lateral is pretty easy.
Ask your HR people and say you are looking into what publicis groupe has to offer
