Does anyone think their office will delay opening because of the delta variant?

Ex audit manager here…recently put into the role of being the audit point of contact person with my firm for our auditors (pwc). Work in the private equity industry. Anyone who has done it before have any tips (and things to avoid doing) they can share?

Hi ladies, I’m so nervous. For the last almost 5 years, I have worked in P&C. I LOVE the company, but I’m extremely bored with my current role now that my department has been cleaned up. Honestly, there’s no other position or higher role I could take, and I’m fine with that. I’m not leaving and can work PRN. I want to buy a house, but can’t with this pay alone. I’ve had one interview with Liberty Mutual and it went great. I’m nervous to start something new and scheduled. How did you transition?

FTM here with no family role models on how to make work and motherhood work. I feel as if I need to give up on career goals or, at the very least, be content with moving at a slower pace.

I also just watched the new Pixar movie Soul and it’s making me see in a newer light that progression/advancement doesn’t always need to be the goal — but how does one balance this way of thinking with corporate quarterly goals and a forward thinking/moving mentality? Should/can I be ok with being content?

I know this mindset is ultimately the problem but I feel like my career is doomed. I didn't do fantastic in law school although I was not completely deficient. Professionally it's been mostly a wash. After about a year of just being dead I think I'm ready to do something more again. I think my problem was that I was unwilling to believe in myself, and I let other people's insecure comments get to me too much. Is it just me or has anyone else noticed that the more difficult partners tend to give more generous reviews and approachable partners tend to be more critical in reviews?

I’m applying for admission by motion in NY and they require all law employment to be affirmed by the employer (basically, they have to fill out a form that says you were employed in a law capacity). This includes all law employment (including unpaid internships, externships, etc.). I’m concerned that I may not be able to get a response from some employers because they have moved or folded.
