Does Canada honor the 72 hour testing window in case of delays?

I am flying to Toronto this weekend from LGA and the weather is not friendly. The Canadian govt website says test is required 72 hours before the last flight to Canada. I am testing within that window but just in case there are long delays and my test results fall out of the 72 hour window will I be granted access?

According to the government site, it’s 72 hours of your scheduled departure time so believe it doesn’t negate your test. The call in government number on the contract us has been helpful when I called them.
