No, except when yes
Depends on the industry and the company size. Tech and Financial, potentially yes. Everything else is questionable.

Tech yes for sure. When you consider the amount of time consulting folks dedicate 45 minimum, 50+ then without a doubt it’s not even a question. Industry > Big4, MBB. However Big4,MBB leads to great Industry roles.

I’m not defensive at all. I’m confused by your entrenched willful ignorance. You’re doubling down on being obviously wrong here.
The Russell 3000 is a public index of publicly traded companies. You can literally look up the companies that are in it. Since all the companies in it are publicly traded, that means their CEO comp is public information. Typical CEO comp for a small public company is around $1M, in many cases less. And remember these are the 3000 largest public companies in the US; you’d expect these 3000 CEOs plus the few hundred CEOs of large private companies to be the highest paid CEOs. That’s 3-4k at most. You claim that 10x that number makes more than the average consulting partner. Your claim is inconsistent with the publicly available data and you have failed to produce any evidence to support it.
Latest reported median compensation at Alphabet was 273k, and the calculation includes every employee except Sundar. Even if you make wild assumptions about equity awards and growth, you don’t get to anywhere near the number that most consulting partners make. The nature of corporate comp is that the handful of people at the top make a huge amount of money and then it falls off quickly. I’m sure there’s dozens, maybe hundreds, of Google employees who make more than the average consulting partner. But there aren’t thousands, and the data shows that pretty clearly.
Depends on how high in management, industry, and size.
