I am leaving JP Morgan next month and have resigned before completing of my 1 year with the firm but technically my year will be completed next month before notice period. The laptop allowance and the relocation allowances will it be recovered from me during my exit??

I think the point of diversity hiring is not to lower the bar, but to widen the door. There’s no shortage of qualified candidates from underrepresented groups... they’re just often overlooked. The system needs balance, not excuses. But i have too often seen subpar candidates chosen to tick the box.
That's a really good way of looking at it, 'widening the door' I like that. I just wish it was already wide open for everyone.
Solely hiring based on diversity is the wrong approach IMO. So too is hyper-fixating on merit alone. I think finding some sort of middle ground is the way to go.
Absolutely, there's so many factors that come into play when looking at hiring someone. It's really opened my eyes.

I agree with both comments above, you can’t bas your decision on just going by diversity, that is the definite wrong approach.
Absolutely. Employers just feel pressure because it gets noted if there's only employees of a certain ethnicity for example. We can't just hire people because of this though.
