Does anybody have any advice when applying to postings with many applicants and getting noticed? The company I am interested in is Figma, and though I reached out to a few technical recruiters after applying through LinkedIn, I am wondering if there might be something more I could do that maybe I’m not thinking about. Frameworks cannot replace good ideas but are a good way of organising good ideas.
As soon as I see someone using a very structured framework (which is not a bad thing) I’ll immediately test to see how flexible they can be and how good their underlying insight is. Those that can only restate the framework (and clearly do not actually understand the business problem) fail harder than those with good ideas but poor structure.
Case in point

Is case in point actually that good? What about Victor Cheng’s book?
Actually think about the problem and the solution before resorting to the frameworks in those books. Critical thinking over frameworks
