You typically need to prepare different PEIs for all your rounds. They tell you this at all the information sessions.
I had been told that I can reuse the stories in the recruiting information session though. the reason is that the partners can look for different things from associates/managers in the first round, and so far most of the ppl that I know reused their stories. Was wondering which is the norm and if what I experienced is not the norm then what does it mean? Thanks

Extremely common and clearly communicated that this is the case.
Many interviewers ask that. This happened to me too. Since they all sit together and discuss about you and your stories you shouldn't want to share the same story more than once anyways. You need to give them as many examples as possible of you being amazing
This is standard. Even written explicitly in the interviewer script.
