SUPER helpful, thanks so much!
Honestly, just sign up for daily headlines - Fierce Pharma is a good place. Then don’t just read the article, but look up things that you’re not quite following.
Can also be good to read up on clinical development, insurance coverage, etc.
There’s a ton you’ll learn on the job, just don’t be afraid to ask questions.
Really helpful, thank you!
Depends on what kind of work you’ll be doing but if you’ll be anywhere near the science - Check out https://onlinelearning.hms.harvard.edu/hmx/ - it has some great courses on biochem, pharmacology, etc. it’s $800 a course but they’re a really solid foundation
I’ll take a look at these, thanks!
I was in the same boat. You don't need any courses or anything - just start reading the headlines. Fierce Pharma and Endpoints are good places to start.
Great, thank you!
I also recommend STAT News and their Readout Loud podcast. Journalism worth paying for - one of the first outlets to get the scoop on SARS-CoV-2!
