Enterprise sales sounded like the dream with bigger deals and commissions, but now I’m stuck in a 9-month sales cycle wondering if I’ll ever close again. I miss the quick wins from SMB sales. Does it get better once your pipeline is built, or does anyone regret making the switch?

I felt the same way when I made the jump. First year was brutal. Deals took forever and I kept questioning if I made the right move. But once I had a full pipeline of renewals and expansion deals, everything started clicking. How long have you been in enterprise?

I hear you! The long sales cycle can feel brutal, especially coming from SMB. It does get better once your pipeline is solid, but the waiting game is real. The wins are bigger, but the patience required is next level. If you miss the quick wins, maybe a mid-market role could be a sweet spot?

“Job hopper” and “quiet quitting” are all schemes made up by boomers to make you think everything is the employees fault. When in reality people are just getting out of bad situations. Except our generation will just leave amid we’re being mistreated, not complain for 35 years making 50k and 0 advancement.

Hey FishBowl Friends, so I’m currently trying to break into tech sales/FinTech and I feel that due to my previous work history, I might not look like the ideal candidate on paper but I’m an extremely fast learner and very coachable. I’ve been a manger at a gym, got my degree in finance, worked as a client advisor at a top 3 auto dealer in the nation and now I’m a project manager at a solar company. I really want something that’s remote and steady, any recommendations on how to spruce myself up?
