even with these salary increases, not sure how much more I can take of this job (and I still say this while being relatively slow these past couple weeks…)

Definitely focus on paying down your loans as quickly as you can, but if you feel like you can’t stand doing this, you’re definitely at a point where you could find something in-house.

It definitely depends on what your interest rates are, but mine were high enough that I wanted to be rid of them to have the freedom to choose what I wanted to do next professionally. YMMV.

What is work-life balance like in big tech legal? I’m currently in house at a large multinational; I like my job and I get paid fine, with a very good WLB (40-45 hrs). I want to look into FAANG-type opportunities as they would mean a huge pay bump, and I think I’m qualified, but I have no idea about the hours, and I don’t want to substantially give up WLB, as that’s why I left BigLaw. I don’t want to be miserable again. I know Amazon is poorly reputed for lawyer WLB… what about other places?

Have I been ghosted or is there still hope? Does anyone at Visa have insights? Looks like there are a ton of jobs posted so maybe they are just backed up?

Question for funds folks, since no one is around to answer any questions and I can't seem to find this answer anywhere. Why can't a placement agent combine or integrate the offering of interests in the sponsor's fund with the contemporaneous offering of interests in another fund? Is it based on reputational risk or from a sales perspective in case someone rejects both funds, any other issues? Thanks!
