Every time I try to set a boundary at work, like not answering emails after hours or saying no to a sixth urgent project, I get labeled difficult, not flexible, or not a team player. But when someone in leadership does the same thing, it’s protecting their priorities or showing strategic focus. I’ve seen colleagues praised for pushing back while I get punished for the same thing. I’m not trying to be rude. I’m just trying to protect my time and mental health. How do you handle this kind of double standard?

Any ideas on how to negotiate a delayed start date? I really want it to be Jan. My mental health needs some time off and this company breezed through interviews to offer in 1 week when I was expecting it to take at least a month. I really need some time to recover from burnout.

I'm a data analyst(SQL, Python, ETL, Viz) with 6.5yrs exp at LTI(1 Month exp).
I left PWC AC after 6 months of joining because of the nature of dabba work I was getting(80% testing/documentation, 20% technical). Worked for 12+ hrs everyday and wanted to have some wlb.

Now in LTI, life is too peaceful and there's no technical work in current project. I'm getting thoughts like I'm wasting my skills by taking less tech projects at this stage of career.

Anyone else have to deal with a rude legal assistant? Been working with a legal assistant for over a year, and to say she’s rude and difficult is an understatement.
