Hello!
I finished my final round(s) for a TAM position at Google (GCP) last week and was told by my recruiter that my feedback was great and that I made a solid impression on the team and am "firmly in the running". I was supposed to hear back this week (according to the recruiter) but he just told me that it's still in the process and that I'll have to wait for another week or so.
Is this common at Google ? I have heard they are notorious for being really slow with their hiring process.

Deloitte audit Vs. Grant Thornton Tax. I have an offer from Grant Thornton and From Deloitte as an Intern this summer. Deloitte is the bigger name and pays a bit better but Grant Thronton has way nicer people and known to have a way better cultre and work environment. What should I do? Where should I go?Deloitte Grant Thornton

F that. Don't hide who you are. If you are married or not or if you are "old" (according to 🐠 anyone over 40 is ancient - which is bullshit) or young. Be you and be awesome. This business is full of bullshitters we don't need more.
I've found that being who I am makes me a magnetic. Some are drawn to me in the same way one would be drawn into warching a train going off the tracks in an 800 foot fireball. And some are completely repelled. I'm fine with that. I don't wanna wear a mask at work.
I might just pull an Arya Stark and hide my entire face
@AD1 bravo
It's not what, it's where. Hide in the hiring persons office under their desk and when they walk in and sit down pop up from between their legs and squeal 'hire me'. You want to make yourself memorable you know, the other candidates won't stand a chance.

Hiding anything gives marginal returns in the long run. If you get hired under false pretenses you or your agency or both will end up regretting the decision and then you're back where you're started looking for a place that works for YOU. Be honest and up front. If that doesn't get you the first available job, it's probably a good thing. Go for the right job.
