I predict that for the future Workday will have a difficult time deploying for small and medium enterprise customers at lower price points. Most of the firms that did these types of deployments only made money towards the tail end through more lucrative support contracts but take a look at how many of them sold themselves in recent months or had layoffs (CS, Sierra-Cedar, Alchemy).

Edelman lays off 5% of staff domestically. 50% of data and analytics team laid off in NY. Clearly decision makers understand the industry and what’s valuable (intuition > data)

Feeling super anxious about a position I interviewed for last week. They seemed excited about me before this second round, but I'm second guessing myself and feeling down because they're taking a while to get back to me. I'm feeling very negative. Just got out of a meeting with a client. Talk about uncomfortable- they'd fired their director that morning and he ran in screaming at the team. They ended up calling security to kick him out!

I work in tax and with TCJA and CARES (extra work) and not enough resources (not hiring, people were still quitting, and layoffs). Also with blurred lines of work/home since covid, I’m at my computer from wake up to bed time, usually midnight. I have always had stress, but that has recently escalated to full blown anxiety. Firm recently paid out 4% bonus to every employee at end of fiscal year as a profit share bonus. This was after raises given in early Fall of 3%-8% range. A tax senior’s response to me was that after all that work last year the 4% fell small and seemed like firm was greedy holding back remaining profit from expense savings and layoffs.
