Does Goldman Sachs take out buy outs? I was reached out by the hiring team of GS but since my notice period is 90 days, they mentioned that they need someone with a notice period of 30-45 days. I did tell them that my company allows buyouts if the prospective employer requires it. They said they’ll talk to the panel and let me know. Should I be hopeful?
Do referrals work? I don't think they do unless you have someone in the team who knows you.. sometimes that can go against you. Or unless there's a mass hiring thing for junior roles. Also does applying directly on a company's website help at all. I've never received even one call from such firms. Which firms genuinely look at such applications? Looking for someone to refer me to cos like Barclays in Pune.Hit me up if you can help. I have some experience in FX and Equities and some tech skills

No brainer..take it. If Deloitte wants you bad, they will counter
Take it, Deloitte does this often and loses a lot of talent as a result

Deloitte hires 20k people a year. You can always come back. If you aren’t getting a promotion, it’s clear you aren’t a high priority.
The fact Deloitte is paying Managers (on the brink of SM) $155k base tells you all you need to know. Leave.

Might as well. Big4 will always be there.
D passed you up, now you pass them on. Don't look back.
Taaaaaakkkeeee itttttt
Why not interview with other Tier 2s, Parthenon or Strategy & and still get SM level and start at 250+

D2, sounds like you went to EYP, where D is equivalent since there is no M level.
You could easy exit to PWC or EY for SM, I know 4 people who did it in the past year but title change won’t mean higher role cause they both do Director to Partner
No EY is split path you go sm -> PP or MD. I used to be an EY SM fwiw.
Do it for the rest of us trying to get to that level. Get paid!
Take it
Ey doesn’t do Director
EY has ED/MD. Director is internal facing.
Take it! You can always boomerang back with those stats if you don't like the new firm in a higher role at uncle D. You're being screwed here by politics with those numbers, and your current salary isn't really reflecting the value you bring to the table.
