Definitely option 2 for EY but you make bank so it might be worth it. I’ve never seen a contracted staff tho, usually it’s heavy Seniors/ managers who come back to work as contracted seniors.
So you except to be contacted as a senior but not to senior work and just roll work papers? Seems like you don’t really wanna be in that position at all

What about PwC-ers and KPMG-ers and Moskowitzans?
Never seen a contracted senior
I did a Senior contract with Baker Tilly while between jobs. They don’t have anywhere near the same sort of resources as a bigger firm. Client base is a mixed bag, and I’m not wild about caseware. But they treated me as one of their own. They seemed genuinely vested in my success and growth. On the other hand, I was basically thrown into in-charging multiple small jobs where I knew nothing of the clients and little of the firm.
If I did GigNow, it’d be pretty plug and play because I’m an EY alum.
Hindsight is 20/20, but even though BT offered more money for a longer term, I wish I had just contracted with EY…and based on what you’re saying, I think EY is more inline with what you’re looking for.
