Senior is a senior consultant. It’s one step below manager. Does she have experience in consulting? I’ve seen PHDs become senior without consulting experience but if she has experience then I would try for a manager role
Senior is a senior consultant.
ER is a practice in Business Consulting SSL, which is in Consulting SL.
No idea on comp - it’s a small team. I would say definitely more than $100k; probably 125-150 but very much a guess.
Id imagine she is coming in at S3 which is the highest of all seniors and generally 1 year from manager. Allows time to adjust if no consulting experience.
Could be Sen Con 1 too
If Experienced Senior Hire (S3+), a relevant PHD and relevant 6 YoE, I could see 125-150k - maybe. That’s a small team and not necessarily a technical speciality like Cyber, DaT, etc so pay bands may be a little lower.
Senior is the nomenclature that is used to refer to people from consultant 1 to senior consultant 3
Post senior consultant 3 is manager
Would suggest you to get clarity on the designation offered. As there are many under hires as well, and this is the time for negotiations.
Hope this helps 😀
All the best 👍🏼
This is a fair question. Depends on the firm you might be comparing it to. If she is coming in as a S3 then it might compare to a manger level at PWC since they call EY manager equivalents senior managers. What really matters is if she is happy with the pay. Coming in as a S3 doesn’t mean quick to promote to manager either. It just means that they needed to get you to a certain pay band.
If she doesn’t have any consulting experience, it is unlikely that she will be brought in as a manager.
