EY, no lunch reimbursement on the road. Any other crazy travel policies? Pretty far in interviews and probably pocket $5k in per diem at my firm now. Just curious on what else I may lose out on.

Apart from no lunch and the $60 cell phone bill constraint, you may be paid less than other firms (dependent on city and service line). Also don’t expect them to pay for grad school. However I will say EY tends to have better work life balance than some others (this is also dependent on service line/offering).

Don’t worry, Mercury and LEAD will break your spirit and you’ll wish you asked for more 😉

There is no per diem so you won’t be pocketing any “change” from travel. Also breakfast is limited to $15 and dinner is $60. You can do something called meal averaging but that’s hit or miss.

Great insight! Generally are projects “cheap” on travel? My firm now seems to nickel and dime every hotel, every airfare, luckily meals are per diem or else they would nickel and dime that too.

Depends on the partner. We have one that’s notorious for nickel and diming, others could really care less

There is an opportunity that I’m currently interviewing for that is very interesting to me. I’m interviewing two other places but I’m not responding to LinkedIn emails for other positions. The other positions don’t interest me as much. Wondering if I’m making the right choice
