Sitting here working at 930pm on a Saturday night. Just lost my motivation to keep working late after seeing this. I knew there was a difference, just didn’t expect it to be this large. The basic minimum is starting to look good.

2 year after PwC. 3 years after Deloitte. On average based on average partner comp. Agree anywhere 9-14 years to get to average.

funny

2 after the B4 but less than the average after 3 years of partner. Esp at EY. P1 was crystal clear

Not sure about EY but Year 4 or 5 (more common) at PwC

Hi do you work in tax?

Do you or did you?
Do you answer is that not everyone does. There are some that are under and won’t ever break the barrier.
Did you for me was year 4 but wasn’t at EY.

What do first year ones make vs those in mm firms (top10)

How much revenue does one have to bring in be to equate to 7 figure earnings and what’s the typical team structure underneath to support it?

Sometime between Year 6-8. depends on a lot of factors though but timeframe is pretty close.

Partners, need some career advice. I'm in a niche BU at a big 4 focusing on risk related to certain cutting edge innovations in my industry (intentionally being vague). I'm being heavily recruited by a competitor firm to jump. I have just over 6 YOE, looking to promote in a little over a year (which would still be early at my current firm). To clarify, I'm not looking to leave, but will never say never. Firm looking to poach talks big game RE comp (potential to double my high 100s salary). Cont.

I've heard a couple of things about how the partner pension amount @ PwC is determined, both similar in approach.

Both calculations I have heard of result in an annuity paid until death, at which point a surviving spouse (if any) receives the annuity.

The first calculation I have heard is that you get 80% of your highest earning year as a partner (e.g. If your best year was $1M, you'd get $800k as an annuity).

The second calculation I have heard is that they look at your three highest earning years as a partner, and take the second highest and you get 100% of that. (e.g if your three highest earning years were $1M, $800k, and $1.2M, you'd receive $1M as an annuity).

Is ANY of this true, or just all rumor? Any PwC partners that can chime in and explain the pension plan fact for fact? Perhaps with sample numbers?
