EY - what is firm initiative culture like? Lots of internal work or more market focused?

Mix of both really. They do value internal initiatives pretty highly. You do more market focused work the higher you get. E.G Senior Managers are expected to deliver and do a ton of BD. At least in PI that is.

Market focused

like

I mix it up with tech/market research which ultimately develops into white papers / presentations. On the contrary there's a lot of opportunities for business development.

Market, market, market. Even for SM

What company do you work for? Internal stuff all the way.

Managed rev, sales and utilization are key at manager and above . Sales expected while still chargeable. Senior and staff have more leeway for internal dev

Ok, so it's all over the board right now. I want to know if EY is going to kill me with internal shit like Deloitte or let me focus more on sales. SM here.

Focus on sales. Do one internal thing for networking/tick the box (D&I or whatever interests you). Be a counselor and recruit at one school. You'll be fine. 4th year SM here

Kidding asside, it's just sales and utilization. More sales, they don't even care about your reviews. $$

Having worked with energy now for a decade, I find myself enjoying the craziness of it all: You're always two decisions (in Moscow or Riyadh) away from prices halving or doubling. War or no war is quite often a sensitivity, and adoption of EVs/renewables/biofuels will be between X and 10X. Find it hard to imagine doing strategy work in the less volatile/crazy domains - what could be more exciting than this 😋

I am looking into the CCP (Certified Compensation Professional). It seems to be quite an expensive exam.

If anyone else is studying, let me know and maybe we can share study materials!

For those who have taken it, are there any cheaper or alternative study materials to any official guides you would recommend? I went this route with the PHR and SHRM-SCP and passed each on the both try, so I wanted to see if that method may be viable here. Any recommended order to take courses in?

2. You would ask questions, and whoever is able to answer it, you will give some merchandise only to them?, And the other people are not your employees?
Why are you even organizing it? You think people would come from far places just for lunch?
