Hi Fishes, Sometime back I was interviewed for Technical Support Job role in my domain. T1 went well. T2, in my understanding was better only (not great like T1 but not blunder. I felt it was nice and i replied majority of questions). They released the feedback after 10 days with "Not Positive". I am not totally sure with feedback as I replied majority of questions correct. I am being bit curious with "Microsoft" tag. What can be the reason?
Discussion appreciated.

Maybe it’s just the way you communicate. There are videos from Wharton online. Watch and learn. There are also tricks such as using lines paper, pausing etc.
Can you link which videos exactly?
Don’t be so hard on yourself. We all have bad days! I bombed a lot of case interviews before finally getting into a groove and securing an offer. You’ll learn from this - just don’t dwell and let it ruin your confidence. You are perfectly capable of doing well and I wish you the best on your next interview!!
Echoing exactly what BCG1 said, when I was going through the recruiting process not too long ago, it truly felt like the interviewer wanted me to pass. When you internalize that, it’s a little less scary
If you’re a data scientist you’re almost certainly over thinking things.
In data science a small difference across a big sample can add up to a large change or opportunity. Case interviews often hinge on two things you’d think would be the same but are different or vice versa. The differences are rarely small.

I took a music class an an elective and barely passed. Don’t assume Music majors or any other majors, demonstrate less intelligence.
Smart people fuck up more often than you would think.
Did you ‘take a step back’ and look at the problem ‘holistically’, create am ‘MVP’ and try to do a ‘sniff test’?
This is more important in a case study than being just smart.
I knew that I got my case wrong and the interviewer gave me several hints. I got the job because when asked for my final answer I doubled down and was confident

Music is creative but it is also very technical with patterns, combinations and rules. Sometimes it is this creativity that sets applicants apart.

Is this for Gamma? I wouldn’t worry too much for a DS position if you did well enough in the other interviews it can be overlooked!
Also a lot depends on how much you read about business practices. Its all about what, so what, now what.. she may have that approach right from starting!
