Am I the only one who is happy I got into IT?
Hello All, I have offer in hand of 27.5 LPA+15% variable from ZS Associates as a BT Solutions delivery consultant and now my current company is ready to retain me by matching the offer & assuring that they will send me onsite to UK in couple of months. Now I am in a dilemma of what to do as I have been looking for onsite opportunities for my entire career so far. Kindly share your thoughts. Former KPMG here, and I can’t think of a single thing I miss other than some good friends I made there. But they are all long gone too. Too obvious if I post actual comp numbers, but by year 2, I was making more than 2x my last year at KPMG, and last year, it was almost 4x.
Wow! nice. What level at A&M are you? And how long is the path to SM at A&M? (and how many tiers are there?)
Follow up, does A&M have India/offshore resources for like data entry? As a senior I try to get our India resource to match my hours 1:1 and really have no desire to be stuck doing data entry as part of engagements. Have heard that A&M all that work stays with the staff/seniors

There may be crappy deals every now and then but if it were really as much of a sweatshop as you claim, average utilization wouldn’t be under 100% (which it is) and turnover wouldn’t be under 10% (which it also is). There are pros and cons to every firm but that claim is demonstrably false.

I make a lot more money and feel empowered to be a lot more autonomous in my work which results in better flexibility and WLB
Dang, thanks for sharing!

HL is a definitely not a good firm to exit to
KPMG is definitely salty that we stole their people.

A lot more $$ for sure, but I also like the culture better. I’m definitely not working any more than I was and I also agree more flexibility.
2x comp is a given at A&M but the culture is better as well. Much better transparency as well regarding staffing, utilization, promotion, etc. I wish I would have made the move sooner

B4 was pretty clear from my experience. But it’s also been the same at A&M so not a plus or minus.
Does A&M work saturdays as a norm?
Paul hates questions regarding work life balance bc everyone should be an owner. Shame on you
