Firm Answer: Bill Every hour you are working
Actual Answer: Depends on what you are trying to accomplish. If you are trying to network into the new portfolio it may make sense to eat some hours to show you are willing to be a team player. If it is within your current practice I would let your coach know and also team manager. They should be receptive and help you sort it out, if not, you should consider if you want to work with these people in the future.
Regardless of level, you shouldn’t be relying on just your practice partner for projects. While this is where of your work comes from, I pick up part-time gigs outside of my offering all the time. If you do a good job they will remember you when their bench is full.
PM me if you’d like to talk.
OP - This is really great advice
If you are working more hours then you should charge all those hours
This happens every once in a while. Times are tough now. How much long are you on the engagement? Depending on time, I wouldn’t worry overly. (You can always go to bat for yourself for more time, but that is a tightrope)

Are you brave enough to take PTO 33% of the week? Stop working for free. We do it at Accenture all the time and it's wrong.
Okay that’s fair
Ask your boss and the engagement manager for an explanation.
You have a right.
They will need to owe you one. Give them an opportunity to say that to you. Don’t get used.
