Hey guys. I have been applying to Amex for the past 1 year. Tried applying on the portal, through referrals and even hr consultants reached me regarding the roles since I have a relevant profile. But not once have I been shortlisted or called for an interview. What could be the problem?
PS: I have gotten calls from every other company for the same profile but not amex. Can't be a problem with the profile. Seems something dicey which I'm not aware of.American Express

Guys there’s this boot camp that I came across that trains people to get jobs in Top consulting firms and has a fee plan wherein you pay once you get placed. I just wanted to know if someone here has any experience with this ?

Or realize that PMO and staff aug are easy, chill projects that will let you relax for six months. Also realize that they provide some of the best opportunities to hone your people and project management skills, learn how to build strong client relationships, and embed yourself with the client to learn how to read what they really need.
I know it isn’t exciting, but PMO is a great way you can show you “operate at the next level” during a promotion year. And in industry, most management roles are just that kind of work, only you do it forever. Better learn how to do it the right way now
I think it can be as relaxed (or not) as you want it to be. Go in with the mindset of skill development and prioritize getting really good at otherwise-boring PMO tasks. Assuming your next role is manager-like (mine is), you might be surprised how quickly you can stand out if you have your PMO act together. I went from team lead with a nosy and overbearing PM to a manager role over two projects in about four weeks because I showed I could handle it and let him go sell elsewhere. It’ll only improve your promotion case!
Or not worth the risk of making trouble given that this is my promo year?
Will previous partners/SM's speak up for you strongly at the round tables if you join their project? If no, then stay put till promos are over in a few months.
You’re an Associate. Go do what you’re told till you figure out how this whole consulting thing works.
Three projects approached me at the same time due to good performance on prev engagement. Decided to do one and figured out it’s not at all what was discussed. Of course I’m annoyed, no need to be smug about pecking order.
