Final stages of interviewing for a job I am really excited about outside of current industry. Very mucha t the beginning of my career (2 YOE) - built up the courage to ask a *trusted* senior manager for a reference who happily said he „would be honored“. Now, a week later he calls because they reached out to him, telling me that he cant give me a reference after all because its a „conflict of interest“. Has this ever happened to someone? I am feeling incredibly betrayed. Am I being naive?

I recently interviewed for VMLY & R for a senior account executive…I asked for $85k - $95k they said max they can do is $85k and that’s pushing but u looked on Glassdoor and the average is like $115k should I keep pushing for more?

Had a final round at BCG last Friday. After the interviews they said that the would release results today. Then I got an email today saying they will only give the results on the next Friday.
