Thank you!
*I’ve never learned English at school or ever lived in an English speaking country. I just learned the language from speaking with friends from other countries.
I just assumed it was a one off thing and not the norm.
The news will search for anything and try and normalize it. It’s like playing that dumb telephone game as a kid. I’m sure some kids through a Covid party in the sense that it was a party during Covid and imaginations took over from there.

Lol hi I am a girl 🙋🏼♀️ I said “google it” because C1 basically was like “I don’t think it’s true” instead of looking it up and apparently proof wasn’t enough? I’m confused as to what you guys are looking for. Like, Snapchat videos from a COVID party? I don’t know how that makes a difference when you can clearly see people are having them are there have been real consequences from it. I’m assuming these are groups of friends gathering together specifically for this purpose, not inviting random people to a party in a city, and I don’t think there are thousands of them happening. I’m not sure how me saying “yes they are happening, here’s a new story about it where someone attended one and DIED” has anything to do with confirmation bias but okay.
So, to answer the question you actually asked, OP, it doesn't look like anyone here personally knows someone who has attended a gathering billed as a "Covid party". But we are definitely all reading the same news.
That sounds horribly dumb. Of course it would be Texas
