Do you set up any standards when you date with anybody? I’m currently dating with a Mexican man. He is older than me 10 years old (I thought 6 when we first met). His job is construction and made less than me. He is insecure about the money but I’m not really. But, the one bothering me is that he is illegal immigrant. Recently heard a friend’s employer backed out of h1b sponsorship last minute (they previously promised her to sponsor h1b), and now she has to leave the US. Did you all have your employers promise to sponsor H1b in writing? How to avoid a situation like this?

I believe most members of this group are tense & anxious owing to the uncertainty surrounding H1b. Can we have members post some positive stories here ? Cases of extension/transfer approval( w/wo RFE)
