For the people that have roles which require you to be at work physically, how are you going to handle getting to work in the upcoming snowstorm? Especially for essential workers like nurses who have to get to the hospital, I can't even imagine going outside in 20 inches of snow.

My client loves sleepovers and wants me to come in the night before the secondary storm and spend the night with her! So ill probably do that with her! It can be a pain in the booty tho!

We are excited!

So glad I don't have to deal with that. I've never been happier to live in the south. My mom sent me a screenshot of the "feels like" temp back home in Minnesota last night. -30 🥶🥶🥶. Hope you all stay safe (and warm!).

I also can’t imagine going to work in all that snow! Luckily our office is amb care so we are closed at least for Monday

Snow is actually the least concerning issue. The ice is what's scary. There are some shelter-in-place mandates that will probably be in effect. Similar to what happens when hurricanes are en route.

I’ve done some soul searching of late and established I’d love to be offered a FTE role in my current company. I think this is partly due to never having had a full time job which I’ve enjoyed and which have valued my contributions. I think this is due to wanting to feel accepted. I know acceptance needs to start with me etc but I think redundancy and workplace gaslighting has meant I’ve never achieved growth and status in one company where I can truly grow. Anyone else has this?

Has anyone who's worked in HR, Finance, or another role with visibility to compensation information been able to use that as leverage for salary negotiations?

To put it bluntly, I know certain people with less experience and a lower performance rating are getting paid more than me due to my role working with payroll data. I suspect this was due to the fact that I did not counter offer when I accepted this role, which was a few months ago, and now I regret it.

Hello there! I currently work in billing at a medical office. I got my Bachelors in Psychology a few years ago but I couldn’t find a position that seemed like a good option for me that was well paying and fulfilling. I tried working as a tech at an Applied Behavior Analysis clinic but it wasn’t a good fit. I’m hesitant to try case management or social work because I worry I won’t like it but I want to use my degree in Psychology. Does anyone have any ideas for me?
