Equinox made you do it
#Olympics
OP, adderall?
Haha do you mean Adderall instead of Adrenaline?
No haha I'm asking if you're on addy right now.
Op- you are a good soul! I am sure your seat mate appreciated the time and will love talking to your Dad. That's nice. I expect the travel gods are appeased!
Pure adrenaline! We had just gotten off a 15 hour flight from Asia and had been traveling for a solid 24 hours before the flight just to get to the airport. To make a long story even shorter, I had to wear a boys XL hoodie from the Singapore airport on the plane to travel back and it had very shallow pockets. We had less than an hour to make it through immigration and to our connection. I wasn't planning to take out my phone, but decided to quickly text our families to let them know that we made it back safely. When I put the sweatshirt in the bin, the phone fell out. The people at the gate kept trying to talk me out of going back to get it, but I am so glad that I did. I would have lost all of our vacation pictures and not to mention, my work phone! I knew that I had ten minutes until the gate closed. I can't believe that I made it. I'm guessing that it was maybe a half mile total? Also, the shirt that they give you when you join Equinox is actually pretty soft and nice and makes a great base layer! I'm also positive that having status with the airline helped (more so in even having the ten minute buffer to begin with). I ended up getting stuck in the middle seat next to a 70 year old man who wanted to talk the entire time (five hour flight)! After all of that, I guess that I am glad to be back at work...
Maybe. Also drinking coffee to fight boredom and jet lag. I'm the one who just posted about being an extrovert on an introvert project. All I want to do is talk to people right now, but must continue reading...
I hope you spoke to your seat mate on the flight back-you owe the travel gods!
Haha A3, thank you! Yes, I did and for the full five hours! He even offered to give us a ride home from the airport and I ended up giving him my dad's phone number so that they could discuss diabetes blood sugar supplements (one of my dad's obsessive passions in life). He was a pilot so he narrated the ENTIRE flight. He kept making me look out the window to spot the "tail winds" and every time the plane made the slightest noise, he explained what was happening. Nice guy, but felt like some form of community service and yes, was def repaying the travel gods for the good karma!
A3- hilarious, love your comment! Yes, when we finally got home, we went out for one last dinner and round of drinks and we toasted "to Paul." (His name)
