I’m 26 weeks pregnant and trying to figure out my leave. I live in NJ and work at PwC, any fishes know the policy for NJ and PwC? The leave center has not been much help and I want to plan NOW not like 60 days before. I was told NJ gets two weeks before due date and PwC gives you two weeks as well.
Did you/would you get booster during pregnancy?

It’s not possible. I tried it just for one day a week and post 6m baby is way too active and it’s impossible to focus. Nanny or a family member is the only way if not daycare
It’s hard enough when you have to try. And work a bit when the baby is at home sick let alone have them home all day and work. You’ll need a nanny or family to care for them for sure.
We have a nanny for 16m.
However, she was out for two weeks and we had to adjust our schedule. (Hubby and I both work from home)
Our schedule is as follows:
6am - baby wake up and breakfast
7am - meetings (baby is with dad/ or in his room next to my office with toys and games)
8am - meetings (Same as above)
9am- 9:30am- snack time and coffee break
10am - 12pm (baby naps while we work)
1-2pm finish day and start lunch/dinner prep
Our day varies and it’s not always “on schedule” we definitely lean on each other a lot when it’s just us two.
Having a nanny was worth the expense and mental health for us. We get to focus and finish all our tasks around 2pm (she starts at 7am) when our nanny leaves and then have a fun rest of the day.
Good luck 🍀
Oh that’s so great that you also have hubby to lean on. I want to do a test run for the first week and see how things go, if it’s not feasible. I’ll have dad work from home a few hours before heading out as he is self employed and pretty much sets his work schedule. This gives me at least 4 hours of work to focus and get tasks done.
What do you do for work?
I’m a Business Analyst. My day consists really of different tasks, meetings mostly on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. But the rest of the week I’m pretty flexible.
I should have added in the post that I plan to do it for a month and a week until my MIL returns from her trip. She has graciously agreed to watch baby until she turns 1. but while she is gone I’m solo dolo for that time period until she returns.
Right?!! She has been with me since delivery and post partum, she just left last week to do some personal travel of her own.
Ughh we decided we would give it a trial run. One week with my hubby at home for four hours and then I can take over after he leaves. If this doesn’t work out we will temporarily find a nanny until glamma comes back. Thank you for your input!! 🙏🏾🙏🏾❤️❤️
It’s not possible and I also wasn’t comfortable with day care. I slowly transitioned him into daycare. I started at 2 hrs a day and slowly worked up to 8.
