how did you build the case for requiring top of the range salary (or even above the range salary), equity, bonus?

What were some of your thought processes, research, points, and preparations for making the case?

I am focusing on remote roles but not necessarily looking to "accept less pay" simply because I am working remote.

I did my market research. I bounced ideas off a close friend to help me overcome the imposter syndrome. I was able to increase my salary by $40k over the top end of the posted range. I tried negotiating for more time off, but that wasn’t an option. We did negotiate on thd yearly bonus vs the signing bonus. So I held out for the additional money. I had a job I liked a lot, but my previous salary wasn’t in line with the offer.

Hi all - quick (and sadly really urgent) question for my excel folks. My computer restarted yesterday evening, I opened the excel file I had been previously working on this morning and I noticed the developer tab was gone. I added it back via the toolbar but now in that same file some of the specific commands within the developer tab are greyed out and I cannot use them. I’m unsure why this is happening because if i open a blank workbook everything is available?

I am a Senior Project Manager for a custom estate builder. We build homes over $50mm in construction costs for the ultra wealthy. I have been with this firm for 15 years and make $350K annual. There is only one partner and the sole proprietor who is essentially retired. They split ~$5MM in profits per year. I have reached the limit on title / career progression in my company - nowhere upwards to go. I highly doubt they will ever partner anyone else into the business. Do I leave?

Working my way up the corporate ladder. I have so many thoughts on leadership and want to initiate changes in the departments I work with. But at this level it's so difficult. Ppl are so resistant to change.

My key learning thus far in my career: Noone gives a shit about your ideas unless you're a head honcho. Real change is brought about from a position of authority.
