Deloitte experienced hires, who all received written offers and in process of visa/ onboarding, have you heard back anything about hiring freeze? Or recruiter asked you to delay joining date?
My visa got submitted couple of days back and waiting for decision. When I reached out to recruiter to give her an update and mentioned once there’s decision will discuss on the start date before putting my 2 weeks, she mentioned “Yes, we should talk before you put notice” - Am I overthinking? I wouldn’t want 0 attrition for 5 years. That points to a performance management system that isn’t raising the talent bar and minimal internal mobility.
I haven’t quit in 15, so maybe I count for 3?
The core conversation matters, creating a culture where people thrive.
One hundred percent retention isn’t a real goal and needn’t be when so many companies are absolutely hemorrhaging talent overtly and again under the radar, through burnout.
