I have been working in management at an industry job for 10+ years and I would like to pivot to consulting. Are there any certifications that I should pursue before interviewing? Any other advice is welcome as well.

Any advice on a first year trying to transition from family law to in-house? I always thought family law was my path, and used to enjoy it, but it’s not the direction I want to head in anymore. I don’t think I even want to continue with any litigation work. I’m having a hard time finding firms that are hiring entry level associate positions that don’t require at least 3+ years experience in-house. Should I start at a business law firm to get experience working with corporations first?

Does anyone work or run a satellite office? I’m in a role where our satellite office has no designated leadership that sits regularly with HQ decisions makers. It’s me and an ECD expected to run the day to day with no visibility into the network. We routinely get agency decisions rolling down to us without guidance on how to implement. My key learning thus far in my career: Noone gives a shit about your ideas unless you're a head honcho. Real change is brought about from a position of authority.
